My Library of Unread Books

When buying books, I would often set them aside “for the future,” telling myself there was something magical about having a library of unread books. Over time, I realized that these books would remain unread. The library became an image of the impossibility of having time for everything.

This led me to reflect on how books had turned from sources of knowledge into repositories of unspoken memory and unrealized versions of myself.
